Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 today here at PCB headquarters Lahore.

LAHORE: As disclosed by The Sports Encounter (TSE) earlier today, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 today here at PCB headquarters Lahore.

PCB yet to announce the name of the captain for the World Cup as they are still debating on the choices available i.e. Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq. PCB is not satisfied with the captaincy of Boom Boom Afridi as he not only failed to produce results but also remained too vocal with media throughout his captaincy tenure so far. His own performance was also affected after becoming the captain of Pakistan cricket team.

On the other hand, Pakistan test team captain Misbah has led from the front since taking over the captaincy of Pakistan test team with five fifties in six innings so far he played and impressed everyone with his captaincy on the field. His calm and mature attitude is also a big plus for his captaincy campaign.

Following is the final squad of Pakistan for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 to be played in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh:

Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal (wk), Misbah–ul-Haq, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman, Shoaib Akhtar, Younus Khan, Asad Shafiq, Wahab Riaz, and Sohail Tanvir.
